ACHIEVEMENTS

BORNEO EXPEDITION/ CAMPS INTERNATIONAL/JULY  2019

I spent the month of July 2019 travelling round Malaysian Borneo helping rural communities and the environment. As a team we helped build a new classroom, church café, youth centre as well as plant trees in the rainforest and litter picking off the beaches. This trip truly was a life changing experience, not only opening my eyes to the different cultures and lifestyles of this part of the world but also experiencing the irreversible damage our actions have had on the environment at the expense of others. Through this journey I gained team management skills as we were all delegated responsibilities over the group as well as money management skills as we had to fundraise for the charity the two years prior to the trip. For my fundraising activities I hosted a quiz night, conducted multiple bake sales and saved money from my part time job.
